Dec. 16, 2008. I have just taken the last of the collard greens leaves yesterday. Still munching in mid December!

This is a fabulous concept Julie. I am a bit dismayed there is not some more interest and involvement. However, in light of the school systems management of the snack bars - eventually leading to fresh vegetables being discarded into the trash - it is shocking, yet no surprise that not many people around here know the value of land-based agriculture.

Julie,
Would love to see your blog updated more often. Now that the garden is dormant, perhaps you could relate some of your experience in handspinning yarn!

Dear Barbara,
I am trying to find out what is the best way to repot a Christmas Cactus. I seem to have found the right light and watering regime for a nice bloom, but my plant's roots are spilling out of the bottom. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sharon

I am growing heirloom tomatoes on my deck. I have about two dozen on the vines, but they are not turning red very fast. On top of that, the larger ones are cracking and splitting. What have I done wrong? Can I do anything to save the smaller ones before they suffer the same fate?
