KFC has released its new double down sandwiches. Instead of bread, bacon and cheese are tucked inside two pieces of chicken. I had the chance to test this out the other day, and I have to say it’s yummy! I wish it was a little more melted together, and it’s a little difficult to bite into the hot chicken instead of having a bread buffer. But the sauce is nice and it’s a good blend of chicken and sandwich. At 540 calories for the original recipe version or 460 for the grilled, it’s at the top of the range of KFC products, but not that far off most of their offerings.
