First it was peanuts, now pistachios. Another nut has been recalled due to a salmonella scare.
I remember being at the supermarket shortly after the peanut recalls began. I watched a mother and teenage daughter picking out ice cream. The daughter started to take some “candy box” flavor and the mother was almost OK with it, and then put it back, saying “no, it might have peanut butter.” It struck me as being a major overreaction, since peanuts weren’t anywhere in the ingredients and ice cream hadn’t been recalled at that time. I happily took that flavor home with me.
Now it’s pistachios. How worried are you? Ready to throw out pistachio ice cream and pudding? Or watching and waiting, carefully paying attention to the product recalls to see what products are pulled?
