Be careful if you’re heading out on the roads tonight. There has been a bit of chatter on the police scanner in the last hour or so about drivers slipping and sliding on the ice, mainly in Methuen. Police have not reported any injuries. DPW crews are sanding.

The Massachusetts unemployment rate has surpassed 9 percent, the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development reported today.
