The referees bought what Phil Jackson was selling after Game 2. He moaned about the calls. Well, the refs apparently had their TV sets on NBA-TV and made sure to even things out.
The Lakers had 22 free throw attempts in the first half versus only seven for the C’s.
A few other thoughts:
*Paul Pierce was out [...]

I will be around to discuss thoughts and concerns heading into Game 3 beginning around 8:30 p.m.
Also check in at halftime for complaining or christening.
See you then.
In my opinion, the Lakers, or really the Western Conference, are fakers.
They are good. I will give them that with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The problem is the Celtics are very good, maybe even great (I am leaning toward very good).
The problem is the Celtics are focused more on the prize. It means more [...]
Sam Cassell injured his wrist, with reports calling it a sprain. He is expected to return.

The Celtics lead at the half, 54-42.
A few keys:
*Kobe Bryant got his third foul with 1:53 remaining the half.
*Celtics Leon Powe scored eight points in seven minutes, getting nine foul shots.
*The Lakers definitely brought more grit to Game 2. They [...]
The Celtics outscored the Lakers 10-0 in the first 2:20 of the second quarter capped by a Paul Pierce 3-pointer to lead 30-22.
The Lakers subs were in for the run. After the timeout, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom returned. Bryant, of course, ended the drought with a 20-foot fallaway jumper.

Some celebs in attendance: Sox pitchers [...]
It’s early, only seven minutes into the game, but both Paul Pierce and Kendrick Perkins are not hampered by their injuries (Pierce knee, Perkins ankle).
Pierce took the ball to the basket on three occasions as well as hitting a 3-pointer from 26 feet away on the left side.

The Lakers are definitely more aggressive in the [...]
I just arrived and while the hoopla is down about two decibels outside the TD Banknorth Garden, it still feels like something special is about to happen.
The two coaches and commissioner David Stern will be holding press conferences.
I will have highlights from both.
I will be around before and during the game if you have any [...]
There is a different feel around here, one that even drwarfs the Eastern Conference championship.
Everybody from the national media is here. This is the story right now. If the games are good, well, then it will be the story of the year.
Nobody wants to miss them.
You are going to see a lot of white on [...]
I will do some live blogging at the TD Banknorth Garden beginning at 6 p.m.
If you have any comments or questions, let them rip.
I will have updates, information, star searching … whatever happens, I will report on it.
I don’t think the Lakers know what they’re getting into here.
I believe Phil Jackson believes his nine championships will somehow rub off on his team, which is a very good team, and lead them to an NBA title.
I don’t see it.
I have a story going in tomorrow’s Eagle-Tribune, with 10 reasons why I think the [...]
