The apple apparently doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
The Boston Bruins ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals, held a 3-0 series lead over the Cincinnati Cyclone, before losing four straight in the playoff semis, including a 1-0 loss in Game 7.
It was the first time in ECHL history that a team blew a 3-0 series lead.
Cincinnati is currently playing the Idaho Steelheads in the Kelly Cup Finals, their second trip to the finals in three years.
