Day 1 of the Nate Robinson experiment may not have gone as expected, but count me in on the side that … yes, Nate Robinson is just what the Celtics needed, beyond good health.
Robinson is not afraid to make plays and that’s exactly the problem with the Boston Celtics second unit. There haven’t been any playmakers.
Robinson can create his own shot. And he can shoot. I like his feisty attitude.
The issue will be can he fit in with the “team” concept, which he has never really had to do playing for one of the worst franchises in the league the last four seasons.
Talent alone isn’t enough. The Celtics are noted for their mental toughness, more than their athletic ability.
Anyway, I think the fact that the Celtics have picked “it” up recently, probably due to Kevin Garnett’s good health, and the addition of Robinson put the Celtics back among the favorites in the East.
It’s going to be fun around here the next two (or three) months.
