Vince Wilfork rolls an ankle, that’s bad news, but not the worst news because Dline is the Pats’ one legitimate area of depth.
Have to issue some serious questions to Atlanta coach Mike Smith …
The Jets attacked Brady into submission, and Atlanta comes out and plays soft cover 2???
Matt Ryan is shredding this secondary and you pound the football into the heart of the Pats defense???
Who’s coaching this team, Dick Jauron???
On the other hand, love Belichick commiting a little to Fred Taylor.
Pats halftime grades:
Offense
line (B+) … no pressure, Pats are running at will. huge, gaping holes.
Receivers (C) … Moss, Galloway, Edelman, nobody is getting open, Galloway is a disaster. Paging Benjamin Watson, Mr. Benjamin Watson, please report to your team.
QB (B-) … Not the real Brady but better than most.
RBs (A) … I take Maroney, who gets another F out of this group. He’s no longer alive to me. Faulk was on top of his game. Taylor is Taylor.
Defense
Line (A) … these guys can flat out play the game, even if Wilfork is out.
Linebackers (C-) … These guys can’t play, sorry they getting shoved around despite the protection from the front four.
Secondary (c-) … There are receivers running open everywhere, like 8-year-olds at an Easter Egg hunt.
To win today, the Pats must:
1. Convert with TDs, not field goals on at least two, maybe three second half drives.
2. Turn Atlanta over again.
3. Hit Matt Ryan.
