The Seymour affair has been a major distraction for this team. The Patriots don’t look sharp and they look lifeless. That can’t be a coincidence. How do you not get fired up for the opener, against a divsion rival on Monday night? Time to see of hapless Buffalo can locate some way to take advantage.

Wes Welker’s early training camp issues really can’t be much. He’s back and returning punts, a sure sign that he’s fine. Some early thoughts: 1. Pats look cautious. 2. Buffalo looks nervous. 3. Brady has been a tad off, maybe a little steppy in the pocket.
