Boston University’s NCAA Div. 1 championship team was honored during a first period timeout.
Coach Jack Parker was up in the press box area getting handshakes and atta-boys from the local media.
He was asked if that was the greatest game he ever participated in.
“The ’93 game when Maine came back to beat Lake Superior (5-4) was a great one,” said Parker. “So was our triple-overtime loss to Northern Michigan (8-7). Personally, the best game I ever saw was when the USA beat the Soviet Union in 1980.”
Good point.
