My bet: Rice gets in, barely

I don’t bet, at least any more, but if I did I would wager on Jim Rice getting the call from Cooperstown, N.Y. in just over two hours.
What are your thoughts? Is Jim Rice a Hall of Famer?
I say it’s a close call. I would lean toward saying yes. My Readers’ Digest version is he was a great hitter, not just a slugger. We don’t honor those guys enough. If Rice wanted to hit home runs, he would have hit 500 with a respectable batting average. Just my opinion.
I will be back later in the day to talk about Rice’s announcement, positive or negative.

    Yes. I think Rice is a Hall of Famer. He was one of the most feared hitters during his era. And he did it without PED's.
