Too predictable. A gritty, much-needed win. The Pats are all-out to win over a 2-10 beanbag of a football team, but you all will take it. HL

Two minutes left, Pats up 3. Why is mike Holmgren rushing his offense to jam in a rush up the middle on the final play before the two-minute drill. How did this guy ever win a Super Bowl? You never see Bill belichick mismanage things like this. Never. Seattle will self-destruct, probably with a turnover. [...]
The Pats grab the lead on a sweet drive that just added a million to Matt Cassel’s up front money. New England delivers like champions on offense. All that’s left is for Seattle to self-destruct on offense in the Seahawks final possession and this one is over. How dumb is Randy Cross obsessing on Seattle’s [...]
The Pats defense holds and gives the offense a chance. They don’t ask how, just if. I say Matt Cassel lands the knockout punch on this drive, starting at 8:47. HL
12 minutes to go, Seattle up 5, 21-16. So many NFL games are decided right here, just short of a quarter to go (12 minutes) and the team with a one score lead has the chance to basically put it away with a TD. This is where the coaching edge comes in. So often, Bill [...]

How much punishment can Matt Cassel take? He’s standing in the pocket and making great throws, but it’s going to hurt tomorrow. Still it’s a gutsy, gritty effort by the kid.

And the former Pat is truly putting on a show, scoring the TD to put the Seahawks up 21-13. When healthy, Branch is still one of the best in the game. He was a favorite in this corner, so I love to see his success. I just saw him catch five balls against the Cowboys [...]

I’ll stick to my gut, Branch was out of bounds, but the officials couldn’t pull the trigger. Time for a defensive stand from a group that hasn’t stood up yet. HL
Deion Branch’s dynamic catch and run is up for review. I think Belichick is right, and he was out of bounds. What was the ref looking at, though?HL
Cross doesn’t directly work for the Pats. He works for WCVB, with the approval of the Pats.
