The guy went to Yale, he’s been a football coach since they put facemasks on helmets, so can anyone explain why Dick Jauron absolutely wasted a timeout before the punt in the final two minutes.
Dumb not to go for it, dumber to run the clock then waste a timeout and not have three to lock the pats in inside their own 10.
All you football fanatics who rapped Belichick last week, your alternative is Dick Jauron, who leads our halftime grades off with an absolute F-.
Here are my pats first-half grades.

Offense:
Line (B) .. Cassel has had time to throw and BJG-E has 34 yards on 9 carries. Solid as a rock.
Backs (B-) … Quiet half from Kevin Faulk, and this offense needs him.
Receivers (C) … where are all the playmakers at? Ben Watson? no words needed to describe the disappointment.
QB (B+) … With time, he’s excellent, and his scrambling has made the difference here.

Defense
Line (B) … Seymour’s sack highlights a decent showing.
Linebackers (C) … No impact whatsoever. Adalius Thomas has an arm injury and hasn’t returned. Mike Vrabel has been well-blocked. Mayo hit Trent Edwards once.
Defensive backs (C+) … The fact that Buffalo only has three points has a lot more to do with Trent Edwards incompetence. Lee Evans is open on 3 plays out of four, but somehow Edwards doesn’t see him. He and the Pats DBs are the only ones in the place who don’t.
Coaching (A++) … He’s facing Dick Jauron, who slept through a challenge then dropped the flag, almost as so he didn’t want to do it, then he burned a timeout. Belichick coached an average first half, which on the Longo curve vs. Jauron equals A++.
