Haverhill’s Carlos Pena continued to play the best baseball of his up-and-down career.
He hit a line shot, two-run homer to right field to put the Rays ahead, 4-0.
It was his third homer in three games here at Fenway Park. Wow.
Almost as soon as he touched home, Evan Longoria did him one better, hitting his fourth, another towering shot over the Green Monster, to put the Rays ahead 5-0.
The Rays now have 13 homers in the series, an ALCS record, besting the Sox mark of 12 homers in the 2003 ALCS record against the Yankees.
Again. Wow.
