It wasn’t Babe Ruth-like. David Ortiz didn’t point to where he would hit a home run. But he did imply before the game he was going to hit one.
The three-run bomb to right field, about 15 rows up, was probably too little too late,
THe rally was started by Dustin Pedroia, who knocked in Mark Kotsay with a single, moving Coco Crisp (single) to third base, setting up Ortiz’s moon shot to right.
