Josh Beckett, Jon Lester and Tim Wakefield have something in common.
They were hammered by the Tampa Bay Rays.
They threesome combined for 12 2/3 inning, 18 runs allowed (17 earned), 8 HR, 23 hits and 5 BB.
That’s an earned run average of 12.06.

It was only one-run, but it felt like five runs. Kevin Cash’s homer over The Green Monster to lead off the third inning, closing the Rays lead ever so lightly, 5-1.
It was his first-ever post-season homer.
Will it mean anything? Probably not. But stay tuned.

About 30 seconds later, Evan Longoria hit it over the wall as well for a very, very quick 3-0 lead.
