Sox in 7 …
Oct 10th, 2008 by Bill Burt
I am sticking to my claim that the Sox-Angels winner is going to win the World Series.
I am picking the Red Sox because I believe Jon Lester will win both games he pitches and Josh Beckett will win at least one.
That leaves Dice-K and the bullpen to pull out one more. The to this series for the Red Sox is their hitting, not their pitching.
It will come down Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz picking it up a two notches for this series. I believe the Red Sox will have to win this series.
The Rays will not lay over and play dead like the Angels did. Matt Garza is a tough pitcher. So is Andy Sonnanstine. I expect a great series with the Red Sox outlasting the Rays in seven games.
One comment so far... to “Sox in 7 …”

Well if Matsuzaka can repeat his performance from last night and Beckett and Lester give the Sox similar starts this series may not go seven. Liking the chances of the Sox after last night but still a long way to go yet.
