for the second straight week, a coach comes out with an awful performance. Can anyone explain the Jets huddling up inside of five minutes, down two scores.
Mangini had his chance, but he was seriously outclassed by his ex-mentor.
A masterful performance from the coach on down.
Just an ugly effort by the NYJ, but the Pats are [...]
pats go in and take control.
The difference today boys and girls is quite simple.
Mistakes.
Penalties, Cotchery gets hit for an offensive pass interference to put NY in a huge hole, and Favre throws a pick.
Meanwhile, New England has no turnovers and has been hit with one 5-yard penalty. That’s it.
The pats have outpunted the New Yorkers, [...]
Offense
Line C- … Cassel’s getting hit and New England has 24 yards on 13 rushes.
Backs C … If it wasn’t for Kevin Faulk, this group gets a D
Receivers C … Randy Moss equals highly-paid decoy so far.
QB B- … He’s yet to turn it over, although he’s cooled after a quick start. Missed a couple [...]
Laurence Maroney’s out, questionable with a shoulder injury.
Bryan Thomas rang Cassel’s bell on the first play of the series, with 2:12 to play and the kid is a little groggy.
The two-minute warning couldn’t come fast enough.

Cassel looked sharp, not trying to do too much, hitting 4 of 5 for 61 yards.
Couple quick points here:
The Pats went semi-hurry up and went on quick counts.
That was obviously a Belichick ploy to combat the Jets switching coverages, [...]
If you’re a momentum guy, the Jets moving down the field, stalling and missing a field goal has to bode well for the New Englanders, who got shoved around some.
Jay Feely’s 31-yarder never had a chance.
Here comes Matt Cassel.
Interesting point here, Belichick has all five backs active for this one.
Game time, huh!
Pats defer and kick off here.
Favre looks sharp, the Jets look very good in the trenches.
Eric Mangini sent the early note to Richard Seymour that the New Yorkers will run at him. So far, he’s failed.
Everywhere you go, this is a big game, the Patriots at the Jets.
In the metropolitan New York area, this is just short of the Super Bowl.
I’ve been down here about a dozen times over the years for Patriots-Jets games and this might the most hyped I’ve been to.
The Jets radio (1050 AM) was all over [...]
