Pedroia:
1. Leads American League in batting average (.330).
2. Leads AL in runs scored (109).
3. Leads AL in hits (189).
4. Committed only six errors in 135 games, tied for third fewest in MLB.
5. Is on pace to hit 20 HRs.
6. Has struck out only 47 times, second fewest in MLB among those with 500 or more at bats.
7. Is not a Johnny-Come-Lately like a few other candidates. He was AL Rookie of the Year in 2008.
8. He is third in AL in doubles (42).
9. Has led the Red Sox with 7 HRs and 25 RBI since Manny Ramirez was traded.
10. The Red Sox are one of the best teams in baseball.
