Sam Cassell injured his wrist, with reports calling it a sprain. He is expected to return.

The Celtics lead at the half, 54-42.
A few keys:
*Kobe Bryant got his third foul with 1:53 remaining the half.
*Celtics Leon Powe scored eight points in seven minutes, getting nine foul shots.

The Celtics outscored the Lakers 10-0 in the first 2:20 of the second quarter capped by a Paul Pierce 3-pointer to lead 30-22.
The Lakers subs were in for the run. After the timeout, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom returned. Bryant, of course, ended the drought with a 20-foot fallaway jumper.

It’s early, only seven minutes into the game, but both Paul Pierce and Kendrick Perkins are not hampered by their injuries (Pierce knee, Perkins ankle).
Pierce took the ball to the basket on three occasions as well as hitting a 3-pointer from 26 feet away on the left side.

I just arrived and while the hoopla is down about two decibels outside the TD Banknorth Garden, it still feels like something special is about to happen.
The two coaches and commissioner David Stern will be holding press conferences.
I will have highlights from both.

There is a different feel around here, one that even drwarfs the Eastern Conference championship.
Everybody from the national media is here. This is the story right now. If the games are good, well, then it will be the story of the year.
Nobody wants to miss them.
