Stat of the day: Third Quarter profits

The Celtics have not only owned the third quarter for this NBA finals series with the Lakers, outscoring them 116-73, but they’ve pretty much owned the key quarter for the entire playoffs.
The Celtics own a 604 to 502 advantage in scoring in the third quarter, which averages out to 25.2 for the Celtics and 20.9 for the competition.
The reason that’s important is it shows coaching adjustments.
Overall, the C’s were outscored only six out of the 24 third quarters.
