Stat of the day: Ortiz average since .070

Check here every day for a interesting stat of the day.
David Ortiz may be on the bench for another couple of weeks, but his comeback after his 3-for-43 start (.070) is still worth noting.
Ortiz is batting .299 since his fateful April swoon, with 50 hits in 167 attempts with 12 HRs and 40 RBI.
Basically, he was back to being an MVP candidate before he got hurt.
By the way, he expected to be return by the last week of June if his wrist is healed.
