I don’t think the Lakers know what they’re getting into here.
I believe Phil Jackson believes his nine championships will somehow rub off on his team, which is a very good team, and lead them to an NBA title.
I don’t see it.
I have a story going in tomorrow’s Eagle-Tribune, with 10 reasons why I think the Celtics will win it.

The Pistons apparently will not waste any time replacing their head coaching vacancy (Flip Saunders was fired on Monday).
Assistant Michael Curry is expected to be named the new head coach on Friday.
The announcement is reportedly being withheld until the first game of the NBA Finals is played tomorrow night at the TD Banknorth Garden.
The only holdup is Curry’s contract negotiation, which is expected to be in the four-year, $20 million range.
