Ray Allen: What’s the problem?
May 19th, 2008 by Bill Burt
The Big Three, right now, is the Big Two.
Ray Allen has barely played a bit role since midway through the Atlanta series.
The four points he scored in Game 7 last night was indicative of the last two-plus weeks.
He can’t get open.
Why?
Is the problem the Celtics don’t really have a low-post presence?
Remember, most of Kevin Garnett’s points come off the open 18-foot jumper on top of the key and on the baseline.
Teams have decided to not help out down low with Allen’s man.
He needs to hit three to five 3-pointers a game if the Celts are going to win it all. They got by two teams they should have manhandled.
What do you think?
