The sight of Cam Neely, double high-fiving general manager Peter Chiarelli after Game 5 overtime in Montreal spoke volumes of the pent up anger and frustration Bruins fans have felt for too long.
Well, it’s officially over with last night’s 5-0 Game 7 loss, but admit it, they pulled you in.
I’m not sure if the Bruins are back, but I hope they are. I was born and bred on Bruins hockey as a boy — I was 8 when Bobby Orr flew through the air.
The hitting and the pace is unlike anything else.
There is a still a lot of work ahead. They need guys like Phil Kessel and Patrice Bergeron to be great, not just good.
They need to continue what they started.
Are the Bruins back? Not yet. But they going in the right direction.
Did you enjoy the brief ride? Let me know.
