Happy Anniversary Hagler-Hearns

To this day, this fight, on April 15, 1985, remains one of the greatest sporting events I ever attended.
Rarely does an event equal the anticipation, but this one surpassed it.
I could say the same thing about the Patriots first Super Bowl win, the Snow Bowl win over the Raiders and the 1999 All-Star game.
But Marvin Hagler was among my favorite athletes as a teenager in the mid-to-late 1970s. If I did a list of athletes, he would be in my top five to watch.
Anyway, here is a link to the most exciting eight minutes of sports that I’ve ever seen.
I can’t see this video enough. One funny bit of analysis is Al Michaels saying “Hagler is done” only 20 seconds into the fight.
