Your first inclination is probably like mine … No bleepin’ way … when it comes to a recent report that the Patriots might be interested in trading for Titans trouble-child Pacman Jones.
His many troubles seem to have centered around nightclubs, booze, guns, women and gangs.
The Patriots, especially right now with “Matt Walsh” hanging over their collective heads, don’t need this.
But … and this is a big but … for the right price this might be a gamble worth taking.
How about a fourth round pick and a one-year contract, similar to what they paid to Randy Moss.
If Jones fails at being a good teammate on or off the field, no harm is done. He will be cut.
The guess here is this guy may need a team like the Patriots more than they need him.
He, like Moss, is probably among the best cornerbacks and return specialist in the league.
I still have some figuring out here, but what do you think?
