I ask this question because I really don’t think a lot of people have.
Or at least the funk has changed to anger. Fans are still ticked at a few things a month later.
I might do a story on this subject.
Have you stopped watching the NFL Network? Have you seen a replay of the Super Bowl game?
Better yet, what are you most angry about?
Basically, how has the loss affected you?
Send me your thoughts. I may include them in a story I write for the newspapers.

I’ve all but stopped listening to one of my favorite podcasts because the host is a major market team hater, and the bigger the team, the more hate, so, although he claims he hasn’t, he’s taken many opportunities to bash the Patriots.

The Indy fans I know have been positively hateful throughout the season and I was quiet because I knew in my heart the Pats would win the Super Bowl and Indy would be crushed, and while I wasn’t planning any big smug party or anything, I’ve found it hard to have any type of conversation with them because every comment is anti-Patriots and I no longer have the small spark “I can get through this with good manners because the Patriots are the better team (although, in fairness, at the time of the last game played, they *were* the better team)

I’m still not listening to any football commentary. I’ve turned of EEI rather than listen to additional rehashing and I’m only now getting to the point where I’m following off-season moves and draft activity.

The only positive take-away I have from the experience is that my father, a huge Indy fan, called me up at half-time to gloat over how poorly the Patriots were playing. I was, as usual, polite and quiet, pointing out that poor play or not, they were still winning, but he continued to taunt me. At the end of the game, I waited for him to call me to gloat. And waited. And waited. Finally, I decided I’d better call him just to make sure he wasn’t having some sort of gleeful heart attack. With the clock at 3 minutes, his satellite TV went out. And he said he’s learned a very valuable lesson on taunting his only and well-beloved daughter. So there’s that.

I’m looking forward to the draft and how they fill the holes on the defense. I still don’t understand why at the beginning of the 3rd Qtr, we get the ball first and we don’t either go 5 wide to start the series or even go into the hurry up offense like they did all year when the game was close. I hope Josh learns from his mistakes.

Trying to get over it but cant. Told myself i would not read about the Pats until training camp. Its not happening. The sox better hurry up and start playing already. Still angry at A$ante for not making that gimme I-N-T. Good riddens to him. The Patriots made him what he is just like Ty Law and Lawyer Milloy. Lets see how he fares in Philly with those fans. They will not put up with missed I-N-T’s! Especially in playoff games. Do you hear me A$ante!!! MAKE THE CATCH!! Whew! I feel better now! Thanks Bill

Me? I have to let it go. Would go crazy if I hung onto THAT. I was suprised at the 2nd half and thought they would make adjustments, and saw none. The offensive line was horrible. I thought too much adulation was given to Josh and maybe that affected him. I am sure Belechick will have some big things to do in the off season and he and Pioli will make the adjustments. What on hearth happend to Josh when he hit the Super Bowl? The Pats peaked at the wrong time.

Still upset and a little mad. Can’t let it go yet.

I still watch the NFL Network but cannot bring myself to watch any replay of SB XLII – heck, I taped Gil & Gino’s call and the only clip I can listen to is Brady’s TD to Moss – I can’t go further. It was the same after the AFC Title loss in 2006 – I taped Gil & Gino but have never listened to the tape u ntil today.

I need a football fix and will see the N.E. Surge and Manchester Wolves later this year while counting down to Patriots training camp with one word in my head – REVENGE.

BTW, I think Jason Webster and Ty Law will do well as corners here.

    Here’s what I’m most angry about -

The offensive line did not do their job until the fourth quarter, and somehow the Patriots did not finish off Eli Manning to where he and David Tyree pulled off a miracle play. It is that play above everything else that kills the Superbowl for me.
