Here are my guesses:
1. The test was correct. I took steroids.
2. I took steroids because I didn’t want to retire and needed one more big contract.
3. The stuff is amazing. It made me stronger and I never would have hit 70 homers without them.
4. Everybody else was taking them. Why shouldn’t I?
5. I wasn’t thinking about my health at 50 or 60 years old. I was thinking of beating the Red Sox.
6. Brian McNamee told the truth.
7. I saw what they did for Brady Anderson.
8. My wife took them, too. Man are we pathetic role models for our children … and very stupid.
9. I wanted to be the best ever.
10. Because the fans seemed to love me more. It was really like a drug.
