Did the re-emergence of “spygate” affect the team?
Feb 12th, 2008 by Bill Burt
All of this stuff went down really on Friday, two days before the game. And I realize the team is bunkered and out of reach in a new hotel.
But they have families and they do watch a little TV in killing time.
The last two days was all-spygate, all the time. It was a sickening feeling after so much good.
Did it affect the team?
Nobody is on record as saying so just yet, but I would say it didn’t help the cause.
This is not an excuse because the Patroits have been able to overcome these distractions like puddles on a sidewalk. They would calmly walk around them.
But this is different. This is a charge unlike the Jets charge.
By the time the game started, this topic was no longer a topic. But I am still searching for reasons for the egg they laid, other than the Giants great effort.

It beats me why they were so flat. It’s like they expected to win the game and just weren’t trying hard enough until the Giants took the lead, then they suddenly get it going and score.

I thought it would motivate them.
