I believe that Randy Moss and the Patriots have agreed in principle to a deal. I have not substantiated anything yet. My guess would be four years, $40 million, with about $20 million guaranteed over three years.
Remember, the Krafts are very creative with bonuses and would probably have some fancy incentives involved.
Asante Samuel is going to command about the same money per season, but about to more years and $20 million more.
Is that prudent?
I believe it is. Both are considered great at their position. They can not afford either or heading elsewhere.
Do you agree?

It is okay if Moss leaves because the Patriots don’t need him I don’t want to see him go because without him the Pats aren’t a great team. They would be a good team but not great. I am very happy that Moss and the Patriots are talking. I don’t think we can afford to lose Samuel. He is too good and make the defence so much better. We need him. The Pats will be contendors next year no matter what but if Moss and Samuel are still on the team, they are SERIOUS contendors.

Moss caught the TD to take the lead with 2:40 left…pay him the $$.Samuel watched the superbowl go through his hands along the sideline with 40 seconds left as it was delivered by Eli on a silver platter…thats not a 20m dollar player… hope he likes starting over as a Dolphin. We all know how the pats are with D-backs.

Pay Moss and we will have to let Asante walk. Its seems there has always been a revolving door in the secondary and Bill & Scott always seem to find replacements. Look at what Brady did this year with a very good receiving corp. Keep Brady happy as he will be very determined for the 2008 Season.
Bill time for another Joe Fish Night soon!!!!
