Here are 5 quick reasons:
1. The weather has not been what we expected all week. It has been aroun 50 degrees for most of the week, colder in the mornings and nights. And today, it’s raining.
2. A bottle of imported beer here University of Phoenix Stadium costs $15. That’s not a misprint.
3. A bottle of domestic beer, that’s right Bud Light, costs $14. That’s not a misprint either.

It’s funny. Last summer when then-Detroit Tiger Sean Casey was in Lawrence visiting his friend Fr. Paul O’Brien at the St. Patrick’s sponsored food pantry, the Cor Unum Meal Center on Salem Street.
Fr. O’Brien not only performed Casey’s marriage, but he has baptized Casey’s three children.
Anyway, I asked Casey about coming to the Red Sox some day. The Sox had apparently put out feelers two years earlier when Casey was with the Reds.

This is comes with a slight hesitation because I believe the Giants are really the best team in the NFC, better than Dallas and Green Bay, which they beat on the road in successive games.
They also have held up fabulously here in the Greater Phoenix area. Tom Coughlin gets an “A+” for eliminating all possible distractions — especially Plaxico’s Burress’ prediction of a 23-17 Giants win.

I’ve arrived at my seat and forget about the Patriots, as I said earlier this week, the University of Phoenix Stadium is perfect.
It really is.
As I sit here, in the corner of the “Giants” end zone, on the Patriots side of the field, the roof is closed with rain expected this afternoon, this place is vast. By that I mean everything is big and wide. Every view is perfect.
