Matt Walsh is trying to do something no one else has been able to do with success, and that’s beat Bill Belichick.
Walsh is saying the Patriots not only cheated, but cheated to levels unheard of: He apparently says the Patriots taped the St. Louis Rams Saturday walk-through at the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Walsh grew up on Cape Cod and according to his bio he says he was an All-State golfer. We will have to check the Boston Globe and Herald archives for that info.
Anyway, here is the bio.
Here is Walsh’s bio from Kaanapali Country Club:
Matt was hired as an Assistant Golf Professional at Kaanapali in November 2006, after serving in similar capacities at Troon Country Club (Scottsdale, AZ) 2005-06, Eastward Ho! Country Club (Chatham, MA) 2005 and Twin Hills Country Club (Coventry, CT) 1994.
Prior to passing his Playing Ability Test and being accepted into the PGA/PGM program, Walsh worked in professional football for over 10 years. Beginning in 1995 with the Connecticut Coyotes of the Arena Football League, he later joined the New England Patriots of the National Football League, where he served primarily as an Area Scout and Video Assistant from 1996-2003, being a part of two Super Bowl teams and winning a Super Bowl ring for Super Bowl XXXVI. Walsh then went on to spend one year with the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe before re-entering the golf industry.
After an All-State and All-Conference high school playing career, Matt went on to play golf collegiately at Springfield (MA) College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management. Upon graduation, he trained with the United States National Bobsled team in Lake Placid, NY along with working in professional hockey for two seasons.
