Wow.. another blog posting about the super bowl that could be found anywhere on the web! You really are in a groove out there, Billy. You need to go back and erase the horribly insensitive "Bob Ryan's Son" update. Don’t you have any shame? Did you think about getting his name first? Or find out that it was Pakistan and not Afghanistan? I guess you don’t really need the little details. I am no big time writer like you are, but I know you don't just write down what you "here in the media room". What a tool.
  • Jerry
Bob Ryan is probably the best in our business and I can tell you many people were devasted by the news, including myself. I still don't know the full details, but I do know I feel terribly for Bob and his family, as do most of the people that have read or heard him over the years. Keep his family in your prayers.

I agree with Bill. There is nothing wrong with telling people about a sad death even if you don't know all the detail, Jerry.
  • Jerry
    Bill:
I was very saddened by the news as well and that is why I found your short, vague, and inaccurate blog posting gross.
If you feel terribly for the family, why throw it out on the web without a few more facts that the weight of a story likes this deserves? At least follow up.
