Media Day is a necessary evil of Super Bowl week.
It is the reason this sport is literally bigger than life.
From American Idol flunkee Kelly Pickler to some woman from a South American TV show in a wedding dress (she was going to propose to Tom Brady), Media Day, every Tuesday of Super Bowl week is to be tolerated.

Here was a rundown of what happened on Day 1, in no particular order:
1. Tom Brady practiced … gingerly.
2. The Giants arrived and have decided to stop inciting the Patriots with bulletin board material. This though may only last a day. Stay tuned.
3. Patriots linebacker Junior Seau and his ring-less career continues to be the darling of the national media, which has been the case the last month.
