My NFL picks — Conference championships

Here we go:
AFC Championship
NEW ENGLAND 31, San Diego 13
I believe the Patriots play it close for the first half and then go for jugular in the second half. The Patriots have too much weaponry and they can run the ball, which will be important today. The Chargers don’t have the offense to keep up with Patriots this year. Last year? Maybe.
Look for Laurence Maroney and Wes Welker to have big games.
NFC Championship
GREEN BAY 24, N.Y. Giants 16
Giants are good enough to keep this close, but this appears to be the Packers year in the weak NFC. The weather and homefield advantage will aid the Packers. Brett Favre has played his best in these crazy conditions before. The Giants have one chance. They need a freakish toucdhown, be it a special teams or interception return. Packers are not great, but they are better. The other key for Giants is Eli Manning. He can not throw an interception. None.
Home team in CAPS
Last week: 2-2
