It really has been a great year.
And the Boston sports teams have been great, too.
My best to you and your families. Remember the people out there less fortunate, without families. A quick prayer wouldn’t hurt.

Former American Idol finalist Ayla Brown, who plays basketball at Boston College, just sang the national anthem wearing a Troy Brown jersey, of course.
Also on the scene of note are several Red Sox players, including David Ortiz, who is wearing a Laurence Maroney jersey (No. 39), Curt Schilling, who is wearing a Tedy Bruschi (No. 54) jersey, and Kevin Youkilis, who wore a Tom Brady jersey (you know his number).

It’s official. Troy Brown will be playing for the first time in today’s Pats-Dolphins game which begins about 40 minutes from now.
The Patriots wide receiver is listed as the third string wideout behind Wes Welker, the starter, and Donte Stallworth.
What does that mean?
Well, the Patriots are one touchdown reception away from breaking an NFL record with 22 players scoring touchdowns. Well, don’t be shocked if Brown gets some serious time near the end zone.

According to a source in Major League Baseball, the reason the Red Sox-Twins deal, which includes Johan Santana, has not happened is because the Twins apparently want Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz to be part of the deal. The Red Sox, according to the source said the Sox don’t want to include Lester.
That is a different story than had been rumored — that the Twins wanted Ellsbury over Lester.
