hey Bill.
just thought i'd let you know. have spoken twice to al getler. much nicer guy than mike muldoon 4 sure. by the way it,s now THREE weeks in a row that you and your paper have slighted Newburyport with a form in which to enter your so-called "contest' (for which we dont seem to see YOUR picks) called "I beat Burt". I wonder if its even a REAL contest. There has been no entry form in the daily news of Newburyport for the past 3 weeks. Did not find it in the paper tues., Wed. and Thur. (11th, 12th and 13th) or in the paper last week (Daily news) 18th, 19th and this week in wednesdays daily news AND the Eagle. What the heck is up with that?
Is this contest for Lawrence residents only? Is this so-called "contest" for just your friends and cronies? After all my tries, after all the time i spent, after all the money i spent (on papers,stamps etc.), after all the phone calls to your staff (especially my favorite one with mike when he was SO kind enough to HANG-UP on me RUDELY) and to Al Getler........still.......no entry forms in our papers up here. No way to enter on line as you claim( which is B.S.) Ive tried bburt@eagletribune.com..........says website NOT found or CANNOT find or display website...........I don't think it even exists. I think your "contest" is rigged and a scam to try to make you LOOK like a sports guru or something. Believe me bill, this issue is NOT over as YOU or YOUR PAPER has done Nothing to satisfy me (the customer) on a legitamate complaint. The straw that broke the camels back was the rude "hang-up" by mike muldoon. What a fine specemin and representation of your company he is.
Well enough for now. I will apparently have to contact my lawyer to further investigate your practices and methods of how you treat your readers and as to the actual legitimacy of your so-called contest. MY opinion...no entry form...no contest.SO Bill....who gets the alleged 10 shirts? Your friends? Ive never even seen your picks (except POST game and why is it YOU dont have to pick the Pats score. Interesting. I have never even seen a list of these alleged winneres either . where is this published. In fine print on page 4 of the sports page hidden in some corner in code? I WILL most certainly continue to pursue this issue until i have recieved what I believe to be a satisfactory result. I'm not just some pice of sh*t that you can simply scrape off your shoe and pretend doesnt exist. Even after SEVERAL attempts to contact you directly on your line...........mysteriously, you are NEVER there. Must be out ther passing out t-shirts to your choice friends perhaps. I will be calling Al upon his return Jan. 3rd and if neccessary will go ABOVE and beyond him since he too apparebtly is finding it to be of little interest even though he gave me several minutes of his precious time on the phone. As if that was supposed to appease me somehow. Yeah, right!!
After my next attempt to speak with Al ,if i get no results to my satisfaction and am unsuccessfull in attaining a contact with HIS superior. My next contct to your paper WILL be from my attorney. All over a two dollar XXL t-shirt. Unbelievbable. Rediculous.
