Pats-Jets pregame 2 … Ben Watson, James Sanders are out
Dec 16th, 2007 by Bill Burt
An interesting inactives list for the Patriots.
Pats starting tight end Ben Watson and starting free safety James Sanders are out of today’s game with the Jets, which means Willie Andrews or Eugene Wilson will replacing Sanders and Kyle Brady will play most of the game as the No. 1 tight end.
Here is the rest of the list:
Patriots
Chad Jackson, WR
Rashad Baker, S
Stephen Neal, G
Billy Yates, G
Troy Brown, WR (third straight game as an inactive)
Jets
Chris Davis, WB
Jacob Bender, OF
Adrian Jones, T
Jason Pocaisk, TE
Marques Murrell, LB
Kareem Brown, DL (Pats cut him on Nov. 27)
The Kareem Brown inactive is interesting because it has been speculated that he’s with the Jets for today’s game, more for informational purposes. Another interesting tidbit in the Belichick-Mangini drama that won’t go away.
It is 35 minutes before the opening kick and it appears to have warmed and it is raining. It is windy, blowing diagonally from the open end of the stadium on the Jets side to the Patriots side at the other corner at the closed end of the stadium (if you understand that, you are smarter than me).
