Pats-Steelers pre-game 1
Dec 9th, 2007 by Bill Burt
A few pre-game tidbits:
A small airplane has flown over Gillette Stadium the last half hour toting a sign that reads, in big letters:
Bonds: 756*
Belichick: 3 Super Bowls*
The point, of course, insinuating the Patriots Super Bowls deserve an asterisk.
I wonder how much Tony Dungy paid for the ad?

Snow way!
It appears the snow will not fall in Foxboro tonight until about 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
That might not be good news for the Patriots, who have never lost a game in which it snowed (9-0) since the team moved to Foxboro in 1971.
Temperatures are expected to be about 30 degrees with 20 percent chance of precipitation. There is expected to be little, if any wind.

Good when it’s cold
The Patriots are 21-3 since 1993 when the temperature has been 34 degrees or less.
One of those losses came in the season finale of 2005 season, a 28-26 loss to the Miami, which the Patriots rested the starters for more than three quarters.
The other losses were to the Colts, 27-20, on Nov. 5, 2006 and Dec. 24, 2000 against the Dolphins, 27-24 (the game in which the teams came back on the field to replay the last play).
