More bulletin board stuff: Steelers cornerback says Moss doesn’t like contact
Dec 7th, 2007 by Bill Burt
The Steelers are great. Since the 2001 season, they have made for great copy before, during and after games.
They are 1-4 vs. the Patriots since the playoffs in 2001.
I say that because they haven’t stopped talking. This time it is fifth year Steelers cornerback Tyrone Carter. He basically calls Randy Moss a wimp.
Here are two quotes from a story in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
“I know he doesn’t like to get hit, man. Randy Moss doesn’t like to get hit. I played with him in Minnesota (2000-02). The main thing he had problems with was when guys got in his face, jamming him at the line, hitting him when they got a chance and getting him off his normal pace. I think that rattles him a little bit.”
“I saw Randy get hit a couple of times by (Ravens safety Ed) Reed, and one time, he was kind of looking to see if the safety was going to be in there. But that’s every receiver. You only have a few receivers who (make the catch) and take the big hits, and Randy is not one of ‘em.”
Carter also had some glowing words on Moss’ ability, but of course, they aren’t worth mentioning. We’ve heard them all before.
Again, more interesting fodder for this weekend’s Battle Royal.

Now, I know in football you’re going to get hit. It’s part of the sport. But seriously, does anyone really like to get hit? Wouldn’t most players prefer to not get hit if they had the option?

Why do the Steelers open their big mouths?
I agree with BB. They are going to pay for it on Sunday.
