While defense is expected to play a bigger role in tonight’s game, because of the wind, don’t expect great things from the kicking game.
Swirling winds, especially blowing in their faces from the West going East, sent several field goal attemps and punts short and wide of their intended targets.
Patriots kicker Steve Gostowski had a difficult time making kicks beyond 35 yards going toward the uprights to the East.

I believe Tom Brady has thrown the ball in colder temperatues than it will be tonight, but I don’t know if he will have done it with as much wind.
Outside the park, winds were swirling. I couldn’t imagine throwing a pass into the winds I felt coming in.

I guess it’s time to see if the Patriots can run the football.
It’s December and tonight we will see if the Patriots are built to destruct and destroy when the weather isn’t favorable to a passing game.

I admit, this is confusing.
I believed, from sources close to the situation, that not only trading Jon Lester and Jacoby Ellsbury, but signing to Johan Santana to a $130 to $150 million extension was not a probability.
The Yankees are going through the same thing. The majority of their fans want to see the kids, the really good kids, develop.
Remember, the Yankees need an ace. The Red Sox already have one.
