Here are 10 things we learned from last night’s season finale, which put the Patriots at 16-0:
1. The Patriots have heart.
The real term might be pride, but whatever it is, they are overloaded with it. The Patriots played a decent game, but on both sides of the ball, they took control of the game in the second half.

Moss, a wide receiver, isn’t playing. And a Patriot named Brady is out, too … Stop the presses!
Wait a minute, that’s Giants wide receiver Sinorice Moss, who is inactive for tonight’s game, and the Patriot is, of course, tight end Kyle Brady.
The list just came out and the only surprise is Patriots wide receiver Troy Brown, who may have played his last game for the team.

The weather outside is delightful …
Really, the weather is perfect here at Giants Stadium, about 45 degrees, clear and without wind, which seems like a minor miracle this time of year in either Foxboro or East Rutherford, N.J.

One game away from immortality, at least in the record books.
I can honestly say the Patriots-Giants game tomorrow night, which I will be attending (my pregame blog will start about 5 p.m.) at the Meadowlands, is the most hyped regular season NFL game I have ever been privy to.
The Giants are along for the ride. My guess is they will mail this one in after the first quarter, trailing 14-3. Personally, I don’t blame them … continued »
