Ugly? Absolutely.
But this is late November, a few days after Thanksgiving, when style points don’t mean much any more.
The Patriots 31-28 win last night over the Eagles was definitely among the ugliest of their 11 wins this season. And a few questions marks developed. But a few good things happened, too.

Coming off one of my better weeks (13-3) after several slumps, I feel good about this week.
My pick of the century … I mean year … is the Monday night game.
Have a nice weekend.
I’ll be at the Patriots-Eagles game on Sunday night.
I also have a story for Sunday’s E-T on Patriots GM Scott Pioli and how he deserves as much credit as Randy Moss, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick in terms of credit.
Well, here are … continued »

I have a column in today’s newspaper about this very subject: Are the Patriots running up the score?
With the inference being, are they piling it on when the dogs should be called off?

Two sources have confirmed the deal between the Red Sox and Mike Lowell needs only some wording. Lowell will get $37.5 million over the length of the deal, which is about $1 millon less than he made over his entire career up to this point.
The World Series MVP (joining fellow WS MVPs Josh Beckett, Curt Schilling and Manny Ramirez) is also expected to take a physical tomorrow.
This basically means the Red Sox need only fill … continued »
