I wouldn’t believe it if I haven’t seen it with my own eyes.
The Boston Celtics are for real. I figured good. I didn’t figure great.
I am struck most by how happy Paul Pierce is. He truly is rejuvenated. I think he will be the huge benefactor in that performances like last night (31 points, including 11-for-11 from the line with 11 rebounds and six assists) will not be needed as much as they were in the past … which means he will be fresh enough to do it more.
You get what I mean.
I really believed these three guys would get along, but I didn’t think it would be this seamless. Apparently with each guy — Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Pierce — not making the playoffs the last two years is enough to humble anybody.
I will be getting out to some C’s games very soon and plan to check out practice on Thursday in Waltham.
Do you agree with me? Are C’s legit? Or is this a facade, which means they haven’t really beaten anybody of repute yet?
