It wasn’t the sight that 100 or so media members wanted to see, but the Red Sox clubhouse was near empty for the 30-minute interval set aside for media access before tonight’s game.
During the playoffs, there is no media access in the clubhouse before a game. But that rule was lifted because everything, especially batting practice, was moved indoors.

I arrived here about an hour ago, at 4:30 p.m., and the early story is the weather. It has been overcast the entire day. A few sportswriters made the 60-mile trek to Canton, Ohio, to the Pro Football Hall of Fame (more on that later). It was dry the entire trip until we got back here to downtown Cleveland around 3:30 p.m.
The infield is covered and batting practice for both teams was moved inside.

Here are a few observations from last night’s Game 3:
1. Even though the game was close, it felt like a blowout. Sox hitters were behind on the count almost all night. It made a 4-0 and 4-2 lead appear insurmountable, which it isn’t.
2. Just like the Red Sox do in Boston, the Indians play off their fans. Maybe that’s why last night “felt” like a blowout.
