Count me in as agreeing that your comment was right on and I too see no need to apologize. The guy is a jerk for making inflammatory racial remarks without checking his sports facts first.

Sorry, but why isn’t David Ortiz considered “black”? Because he wasn’t born in the US? Or because his primary language is Spanish? Pretty sure that his ancestors were enslaved in the same fashion as “blacks” brought over here on boats and forced into labor.

There is racism in every city. There are plenty of other cities that are just as segregated or more than Boston. In fact the 2000 U.S. Census listed the 10 most segregated cities. Boston was NOT on that list. The major difference between Boston and other cities is that other cities have a larger black population.
