I'm confused. For years Michael Muldoon has done the majority of the Celtics coverage. So why isn't he the one blogging about the draft?

All of the other newspaper bloggers from around Boston are reporters who cover the team on a full-time basis.

I think I'll respond to them until someone with some real knowledge about the team starts blogging here.

I'd trade the pick as long as the players the Celtics package do not have "Pierce" or "Jefferson" on the back of their jerseys. Ray Allen to the Celtics for #5 and Theo? I'll drive Theo to the airport myself and gladly pay the tolls along the way.
But it sounds like Danny is going to take the 5th. I like Noah's tenacity, but he's a #7-12 pick. I like Horford's style, but he's not going to be there at 5. Yi? The International Man of Mystery. Sounds like he's going to wear green next year. Let's hope he's Dirk and not Wang ZhiZhi.

Dave, I like him. But I haven't seen enough to say he is the point guard on a potential championship contender.
He is a great athlete. But is he a great leader. That's what the position is.
The Celts have not had a real, real good point guard since Dennis Johnson. Kenny Anderson was the closest and was decent, and Gary Payton's best years were well behind.
With a young team, it might be time to bring in a point guard of the future. I haven't seen enough of Conley to deem him that, but if the Celts brass does, he might be the choice.
