A Schilling for your thoughts II
Jun 8th, 2007 by Bill Burt
Curt Schilling didn’t just throw a gem, he looked like the guy from the 2004, sans the bloddy sock.
That was as well a pitched game we’ve seen since Pedro Martinez was here.
Pitching coach John Farrell appears to have made some changes that have worked, as his splitter is dropping more and his fastball is snappier. I realize the radar gun read “91″ for most of the game but it appeared he was throwing in the mid-90s.
That happens when hitters are confused. The ball looks faster.
Well, is this the real guy or this a blip in the radar. He has pitched well thus far, with a few bad innings away from pitching very well.
What are expectations for Schilling this season, at age 40?
