Check in here after the Red Sox-Yankees game tonight and check out my analysis and send in your thoughts.

It should be a good one with Andy Pettitte going against Curt Schilling. The Red Sox always seem to get Pettitte in trouble, only for the Yankees lefty to get out of it. I’m predicting a big game from Curt Schilling and a thrilling finish with Jonathan Papelbon (if Terry Francona lets him go another day) on the mound.

Stat of the day:

Red Sox have won 12 series this season and lost only two.

Bill, I'll see your 12 series won and 2 lost and raise you with this: Half of the Red Sox 14 losses have come in the first games of series. They are 10-7 in first games, and 21-6 in subsequent games.

That will be the last time I try a "stat of the day." Honestly, Chuck, your numbers are pretty impressive (Chuck, by the way is Merrimack College grad and ex-hoops statistician at the school, like myself), which is typical out of Millers Falls, Mass.
So I guess you're saying the Sox in a close one tonight, Chuck?
